update on UK life post | Superdrug haul

Hey dearies! *brush away spider webs* sorry for the long wait... This blog has been inactive for the past few months because I was rushing for application to continue my further studies in one of my dream country, United Kingdom.

(the main point was actually the swam #LOL)

After a few months of hectic balancing between assessments and my application for visa and lots of other stuff,, finally I have settled down in UK!

At first I wanted to try purchasing cosmetics online as they have started their Christmas gift set sales so I have decided to buy something to reward myself for all the hard work. Michelle Phan's make up line seems like a good idea as UK is definitely nearer to USA as compared to Malaysia. Sadly, her EM products are waaaaay out of my budget so I switched my attention towards their local products instead. Nevertheless, I have found numerous amount of interesting drug stores here and came across some affordable yet high quality products.

Superdrug was having a good deal online as they are having a promotion for all their cosmetics! 3 products for the price of two! For a "cheapskate" consumer like myself, it's an unavoidable trap! #LOL

This is my first time purchasing products from an official online store so I was quite excited. My friend's parcel came in 5 days and her cosmetics didn't even have a single scratch on them. After this "guinea pig" test from my friend I have decided to buy from their store.

Here is the beautiful box that came approximately 5-6 days after payment. I have bought a brush set from Ecotools, a colourful eyeshadow palette, a bronzer, an eyebrow kit and a bath fizzer. They are all in good shape upon arrival because they were wrapped with bubble wrappers and stuff so it's quite safe.

I needed eye crease brushes so I bought this cute looking brush set! Ecotools are well-known for their quality and they are famous in Malaysia I thought  I could try one of them!

Next is revolution's eyebrow kit. I never had an eyebrow kit so I have decided to buy one! Kate's eyebrow kit is popular among Asians unfortunately it's too expensive... Revolution's kit was included in the promotion and the original price is only £2.50.

Furthermore, I bought MUA poptastic eyeshadow palette and bronzer. I know I already have a colourful  eyeshadow palette but it's back in Malaysia... and I really cannot live without a colourful eyeshadow palette #dramatic#LOL

Besides, I had a bronzer palette but I gave it to my friend before I come to UK so I needed a new one. MUA sunkiss bronzer looks adorable! Especially with the mosaic design. I have done a brief research about their eyeshadow and bronzer before I made the purchase. Hopefully they are nice to use since the eyeshadow costs only £4 and bronzer is £2.50. *throws confetti for affordable products*

Lastly, I have bought a bath fizzer from Flutter as I never try them and it looks like a lot of fun! Lush's bath bombs are too expensive so I bought this instead.

Well, here is my first haul after my arrival to UK. Hopefully I can maintain my blog this year cause I am officially starting my final year. *finger crossed*

[Review] Beautifully Disney lipgloss in Mysterious Mermaid

Hi ! I've just come back from Hong Kong ! It was fun ! I get to go to Disneyland and brought some souvenirs back and most of them are cosmetics... =_=". I can't even resist not buying anything after i reached Disneyland! Since I have been watching their shows since forever! #truestory

I brought this baby in Disneyland hotel! I brought Ariel's because she is my favourite Disney princess of all! (^_^V)

Packaging: The box is very elegant, with black/greyish base and covered with royal-like patterns. Make it looks so luxury! I did not want to open it at first, cause the box was meant to keep the lipgloss inside forever... #LOL cause the lipgloss itself was so beautiful... make me feel kinda guilty for using it.. it was kinda meant for display more than being used... D: 

THIS is how it looks like after opening the packaging! It disappoints me to know that the illustration of Ariel was not printed on the bottle, but it's only a sticker pasted on the bottle... =(

Here is how it looks on my lips. The lipgloss have slight simmer that makes your lips looks plum-ish and juicy. The colour design is very suitable for mature looking make up ~ Looks natural!! I did not have orange tone lipgloss and it's my first time trying one. I am totally in love with this colour!

Quality: The quality of the bottle is better than other lipglosses bottles. But the stopper is not very functioning well, if you look closely, there is some lipgloss on the wand of the lipgloss.

This lipgloss comes with a sponge applicator, So it's hygiene and easy to apply it~ (not in a moving car though #giggles).

The lipgloss is just like other lipglosses, need to apply lip care before applying it (duh!). 

But i must say, it is not as dehydrating as i expect it would be! xD

Price: HK$98 is quite expensive, but it is genuine from Disneyland so i guess it's okay. It's not like you can go Disneyland everyday now is it ? xD

CNY hair style ;)

I actually have the courage to cut this fringe !!! T^T Finally! I feel so successful ! Anyway, i dyed my hair too . =) I didnt have the money to go to a salon so i dyed it with Schwarzkopf champage pink, that i mentioned in my previous post. I like that brand a lot ! The last one i used is Revlon, and believe me ... your hair turned coarse after one usage D=

This brand (the one i am using now) doesn't coarse your hair that much and you can actually see the colour ~ (even though i see no pink, yet)

There's another good news ! I am on February 2013 issue of Mina's magazine !

A small column for me ! I suggested their readers to wear ribbons during Valentine's day so they'll look cuter !!! xD (me on the left hand side of the picture) That picture was taken right after i came back from Comic Fiesta, and PHEW ! that was an exhausting day. =P

I am shooooo happy today ! I can't believe I was actually on a magazine ! xDD hahaha !!!

Anyway, i went to KL last weekend for the CNY decos. It's so pretty there ! I got myself a pair of sneakers  too ! I have to apologize to my feet for wearing overly cheap and low quality shoes ... =_=" My toe nail got broken from wearing a pair of fake crocs.... -sigh-

Anyhow, i am in a CNY mood now !!! One more week till CNY !!! heheheh ~ I can get to see my cousins !!! (after i finished my assignments... that is).

Christmas Sales hauls

I am back with new hauls ! ＼(^ω^＼) Since i am new to cosmetics so i just realize there's Christmas sale, and believe me, those sales could get a little crazy sometimes ! @@ (crazy as in very cheap)

Nail polishes my sister brought. 
She likes nail art a lot, so she brought those when they're on sale.
Nanowhite milk cleanser a.k.a make up remover. 
I didnt have a make up remover, i was using lotion to remove my base make up all along. So i wanna try a make up remover, and when i saw this on sale i grabbed it as quick as possible ! (`･ω･´)

Arezia's 48 eyeshadows palette ~ I needed one colorful eyeshadows palette due to my photoshoot during Mid-December so i brought this when i saw there's a reasonable price in Sasa.

The Face Shop lash glue. This is going to be my second bottle. (°∀°) My last one wasn't finish yet but i saw it on sales so i just brought it. I needed it anyway.
Majolica Majorca's Skin remaker pore cover. I needed a base make up, my last one is too cheap and have no mirrors with very ugly appearances.... So i worked very very very hard and brought this to comfort myself after all the hard works. Finally, i brought it ! (ﾟヮﾟ)

Revlon Lip butter in strawberry shortcake. I only have nude lip colors and i need a pink one cause photogs was complaining about my lips disappearing after a flash .... ●﹏● So i brought one.

Ingredients(first 5): Mica, Synthetic Fluophlogopita, Talc, Titanium dioxide, Zinc Myristate and etc.

Babbling: Now this is pricy, I've been planning to buy this since i realize i needed a powder foundation. Thank you Watson for the promotion [even if the price doesn't really reduced too much (• ε •)]! Plus, i've seen soooo many reviews about this foundation, lots of girls saying it's good for people with combination skin, so i gave this a try. I've only used it once, during my presentation and it have a medium coverage (=3=).... for some girls, it's a good thing, but i prefer heavy coverage stuff. I like heavy coverage things but i didnt buy them cause i know there's a price to pay to have a flawless looking skin, TALC a.k.a somethings that dries up your skin, it's cheap so most cosmetics contain them. I dont really mind though, cause my skin isn't really dehydrated (and i am not using make up daily). I choose OC10 cause it's a neutral shade for all Asian skin. [no comments on packaging cause i would end up writing a very long blog post telling you how much i adores the out look of that box]. Btw, the quality of the box is average, plastic.

Babbling: This one is very cheap. The price was reduced sooo much during sales. ♫♪˙❤‿❤˙♫♪

It comes with a mirror and a useful synthetic brush. I find it very annoying when i brought something and it comes with a useless brush. ●︿● Yeah, you get what i mean. I used this brush to highlight my T-zone, cheeks and chin.

Left flash ON, Right NO flash

Shimmery pretty colors (◡‿◡✿) It's pigmented and the shimmer still stays on your face even after a few hours. Yes yes yes, there's TALC too, like i said, you can't avoid cosmetics without it cause it's cheap. Oh yes, I almost forget to comment on the out look of this compact. One word, feminine.

Babbling: Got this during a sales too ~ very very cheap. I am using this for shading purposes, it's average pigmented and mostly only suits fair and asian skin tones(cause it's kinda orange-y too).

Useless synthetic brush. (✖╭╮✖) Luckily i have my own shading brush. 

I have to take a close up on the powder, there're butterflies and floral patterns on the powder, that is attractive but i bet it'll disappear after a few swirls on it. TALC TALC TALC everywhere, and this time, it's first in the list. Yes, and the packaging looks flowery and nice but i dont like how small the mirror is, how do you expect me to look into the mirror that small ? 

Yeah, I am not going to talk about everything i've just brought, i just wanna share my opinions on them. (✿◠‿◠) On the other hand i am exhausted ! Assignments, courseworks and etc all at once ! It's like they buried me or something ... Hope my information helped. Ta ta.

I am willing to try new products and i manage to saw a site having promo so i give myself a push by working hard to buy all these things i've dreamt of buying !!!

FINALLY !!!! Japan cosmetic products !!!! After 3 weeks of payment, they've finally arrived !!!
I also helped my friend to buy some stuff she wanted. So not all is mine.
Haha ! can you believe she actually returned the money to me in this way ? xD LOLX !
Will write reviews later ;)

New nail polish remover cause i've finished using Elianto's so i brought the face shop's. =) This one's quality is sooo good!!! it doesn't make the surface of your nails feel coarse ;)

brought this from Daiso =) cause i am really really baaaad at drawing brows~ So i needed this. xD

Dear blog,

Sorry for the lack of updates ~ I was really busy this month and especially this week ! My schedule was pack !!!! o(>_<)o 

This month i joined a play, my sister is the director of this play for the moon cake festival they're going to held it in my secondary school. She needs more actors/actresses so i volunteered to help her.

Besides just being an actress, i am also the make up artist and the one who teach them how to act. Sadly, none of them are daring enough to act naturally, so i have to tell them step by step on how to act. (=_=)
After the sound recording i need to dance Oppa gangnam style's chorus (solo) in the middle of the play. (~>_>)~
Back to the whole busy schedule thing.
Monday I have 6 hours of class and i went to practicing the play right after my classes. It's the first practice and the last. There's rehearsal in Wednesday.
During Tuesday, i have to finish the pile of homework i left undone since last week (cause last week i was busy too). Also, i have to revise Business Mathematic for the test next day.
Wednesday morning [today] i had the test, it goes well. After the test i rush back to my school right after lunch for the rehearsal. I waited for 2 hours for other performances to rehears .... AT LAST, it's our play's turn. Since we didnt bring the props and costumes, the play looked very very weird. The Domo doesn't bring her costume so she is standing on the stage as a girl in uniform ... so no one really knows why she is standing on the stage .... -sigh-
and i have no idea why i panicked on the stage and danced the wrong steps .... OMG .... I feel so embarrassed..... (>///<) Oh ! and I've brought new make up today when i was waiting for my mum in the mall. It's Meiko's cream concealer. I've seen tons of cosplayers using them so i am willing to try it until i see it lying around in the shop and i grabbed it !!!
Okay so now, move on to Thursday and Friday.
Thursday I have a replacement class for Organisational Behavior and i'll be staying in college for the whole day because it's an evening class and i still dont know how to drive well .... =(
Friday is the moon cake festival thing. So i have to prepare for the since morning cause .... I still haven't finish  making my costume (=w=). I know i am a last minute person, but being a bunny-guy-thing dont really need a complicated costume.
oh ! and i designed the character myself =) My character is a real big twist compared to the original legend story. I am suppose to be bunny, but it's boring for bunnies to have a cute and adorable image all the time so i transformed the bunny into a real funny character. It's a male bunny with ultra squeaky voice and LOVE to dance. He have a mustache and a pair of sunglasses. 8D
Cute huh ? My sister was like: "Sometimes, i wonder what is your brain made of...."
Why my sister said that ? Well, it's simply because she is a very serious person. =P
So my schedule ... Weekends.
Saturday i have work and i NEED to attend my family's reunion because it's the moon cake festival and at the same time i NEED to attend my best friend's housing warming party. I am still thinking how should i split myself into two .... =_="
Sunday ~ This is going to be interesting. I am going to have my very first cosplay photoshoot !!!! EKKK !!! So excited !!!!! <3 -will update you later with this-

I've brought new false lashes <3 and i've felt in love with non-wavy and thick false lashes. They really are suitable for my type of eye. If i wear wavy ones, i will look evil ... =P
DOLLYWINK LASH CASE !!!!!
OMG ! i've always dreamt of owning dolly wink products and since i am a budget buyer, i dont really get a chance of winning my heart-and-brain's debates so most of the time, my brain wins and i didnt buy anything =P
BUUUUT this time~ it's different. I really want to own something that is dolly wink related. I could run to Daiso and buy a Rm5 lash case but ... i seriously dont know what have gotten into me ... I've brought this lash case in Sasa and it cost ... -gulps- RM22+ ..... I know, scary ....
Pore Putty's BB cream, i've been finding a BB cream that suits me cause Maybelline's 8-in-one BB cream doesn't really cover well from my point of view. So i try this because it's on promotion in Sasa when i was buying the lash case. Also, the promoter was very nice, she try really hard to communicate with me since i am not fluent in Malay and explain to me what that product is for and what that product is for even though there's 88% of chances i am not buying. =P So i brought both back home. =w=

Next, Meiko's concealer. Like i said, i've seen tons of cosplayers say it's a very good concealer so i brought it. It's quite cheap too. Will write a review when i have the time xD
