[Review] Dior Addict Lip Maximizer High Volume Lip Plumper

Hey lovelies! The other day I have gotten my free samples from Dior and can't wait to share my thoughts and experiences of using them with everyone!
Name: Dior Addict Lip Maximizer High Volume Lip Plumper
Code: 001
Origin: Made in France
It's a small 1ml bottle therefore I can't comment on the appearance of the actual bottle so I will skip to the texture of this lip plumper.

The texture is heavy and it felt like there's a thick shield protecting your lips.

The moment I apply it there's a minty flavour but not too strong. I need some time to get use to that scent.
 Before
After
The little shimmery colour makes my lips looks healthier and juicy.

After so many direct application on my lips I must say it's quite a good protector! My lips never crack despite the harsh dry weather!

Overall I love it. Thank you Dior for this cute little gift!

[Review] My beauty Diary CC cream

Name: CC cream
Brand: My Beauty Diary
nett weight: 30g
Origin: made in Taiwan
I have got this CC cream as a gift. I received it when it first launches but I forgot to give it a review. Surprisingly I found it in my make up bag LOL cause I left most of my cosmetics at Malaysia so I thought I didn't bring it as I hardly uses CC cream.

This CC cream design is squeezy tube shaped and the design is hygiene from my point of view. In the first few usage, it's easy to control the amount you squeeze out. Sadly, after quarter of the bottle was used it's harder to control the amount you squeeze out.

The cream is white colour with little rosy colour dots inside the cream. After smudging the cream you could see the little rosy colour dot "exploded" and it would give you a rosy finish at the end.

Not sure if you can see the sponge was stained with pinkish colour from the CC cream.

Before applying with sponge.

After applying. Honestly, I can see minimal difference as it does not cover any flaws. It simply gives you a glowy skin effect.

If I use it in Malaysia, with that amount of humidity it gives you an oily look. Not dewy but oily look by the end of the day. Unless if you dap the oil off during mid-day.

If I use this in England, it gives me a glowy but not dewy look. Just makes me look rosier and healthier. Unfortunately, it's not hydrating enough for the current winter weather. (maybe my skin is too dry?)

(Please ignore my only-cc-cream-no-make-up-face)

From my opinion, it's good for people with dull-looking, green, yellowish skin. It will definitely make you look healthier but like me, I have patches of redness on my face so I can't use this during hot weather (in Malaysia)

Okay, so i guess that's it! Sorry folks, i didn't have time to edit the pictures so they are taken like this. There are no edits or photoshop or what-so-ever. That is why I don't like to give review on base make up cause I would need to show my real face with zero filter... #sad

anyhow, hope you find this useful! Cheers!

Studying tips | Life post

Hey lovelies! I would like to share how I study for my exams, doing my home works or assignments and etc. As I have struggled before I found a comfortable way for me to study because I was asking how high achievers studied and read articles on how people score their exams unfortunately their ways of studying obviously doesn't suit my lifestyle. At that point of time I was quite depress as I thought I wasn't able to score just because I couldn't study like they do... until I realize I need to find MY OWN way to study instead of following other person's styles.

Of course, this is just my way of studying. It might not work for you but hopefully they can help you in finding your own way of studying!

1) Have sufficient rest

I am not the kind of person who can forget about sleep and do my assignment until dawn. Rest is my priority in life and believe it or not I sleep at 10 p.m. every night. Hence, I organize my time sufficiently and allow myself to at least have an hour or two of relaxation (i.e: watching Anime or scrolling FB) per day so I won't stress out.

2) Set daily goals before waking up

Instead of looking at phones in the mornings, I usually take a minute or two to think about my entire day's schedule. I would tell myself "What do I need to achieve by today?" then only I get up from my bed.

I am not going to lie, most of the time I got all of them done by the end of the day but there are exceptions as well due to unforeseen events that might happen. Anyhow, try to get all of them done before you sleep so you won't feel guilty throughout the night.

3) Have breaks between studies/ doing assignment

In the middle of studying, I'd give myself 5-10 minutes of break after an hour of work just to breathe. During those breaks I won't look at my gadgets, I would just do absolutely nothing. It calms my brain LOL.

Also, after 3 hours of working or studying. I do allow myself to walk around find food/ snacks, chat with humans, stare at pets/trees, look at my social media and etc. I'd do random stuff for 30 minutes then continue another 3 hours (with 5-10 minutes breaks between each hour)

In a nutshell, yes, I couldn't survive without a relaxed mind. In the downside, everyone thought I have too much free time during assignment periods but LOL I just gave myself breaks, lots and lots of breaks. I don't know about you but my brain won't work after 45 minutes of continuous work so I need all those relaxing time. Also, stress gives me breakouts and I hated pimples... #truestory

I guess my study tips are as simple as 1,2,3! Hope you find it helpful but please don't copy it and try to find a suitable way of studying for yourself. I know most high achievers can just sit there for 8 hours and study but I sincerely can't... Even so, I still get the job done so cheers for dummies like me! #laughs

Good luck in finding your way of studying!

p/s: sorry cause all the pictures have no relation to studying, they were taken during my trip to Taiwan.
WARNING: I wasn't having any make up on so please bear with my face. LOL

update on UK life post | Superdrug haul

Hey dearies! *brush away spider webs* sorry for the long wait... This blog has been inactive for the past few months because I was rushing for application to continue my further studies in one of my dream country, United Kingdom.
(the main point was actually the swam #LOL)
After a few months of hectic balancing between assessments and my application for visa and lots of other stuff,, finally I have settled down in UK!
At first I wanted to try purchasing cosmetics online as they have started their Christmas gift set sales so I have decided to buy something to reward myself for all the hard work. Michelle Phan's make up line seems like a good idea as UK is definitely nearer to USA as compared to Malaysia. Sadly, her EM products are waaaaay out of my budget so I switched my attention towards their local products instead. Nevertheless, I have found numerous amount of interesting drug stores here and came across some affordable yet high quality products.
(Enjoying their famous fish and chips)
Superdrug was having a good deal online as they are having a promotion for all their cosmetics! 3 products for the price of two! For a "cheapskate" consumer like myself, it's an unavoidable trap! #LOL

This is my first time purchasing products from an official online store so I was quite excited. My friend's parcel came in 5 days and her cosmetics didn't even have a single scratch on them. After this "guinea pig" test from my friend I have decided to buy from their store.
Here is the beautiful box that came approximately 5-6 days after payment. I have bought a brush set from Ecotools, a colourful eyeshadow palette, a bronzer, an eyebrow kit and a bath fizzer. They are all in good shape upon arrival because they were wrapped with bubble wrappers and stuff so it's quite safe.
I needed eye crease brushes so I bought this cute looking brush set! Ecotools are well-known for their quality and they are famous in Malaysia I thought  I could try one of them!
Next is revolution's eyebrow kit. I never had an eyebrow kit so I have decided to buy one! Kate's eyebrow kit is popular among Asians unfortunately it's too expensive... Revolution's kit was included in the promotion and the original price is only £2.50.
Furthermore, I bought MUA poptastic eyeshadow palette and bronzer. I know I already have a colourful  eyeshadow palette but it's back in Malaysia... and I really cannot live without a colourful eyeshadow palette #dramatic#LOL
Besides, I had a bronzer palette but I gave it to my friend before I come to UK so I needed a new one. MUA sunkiss bronzer looks adorable! Especially with the mosaic design. I have done a brief research about their eyeshadow and bronzer before I made the purchase. Hopefully they are nice to use since the eyeshadow costs only £4 and bronzer is £2.50. *throws confetti for affordable products*
Lastly, I have bought a bath fizzer from Flutter as I never try them and it looks like a lot of fun! Lush's bath bombs are too expensive so I bought this instead.
Well, here is my first haul after my arrival to UK. Hopefully I can maintain my blog this year cause I am officially starting my final year. *finger crossed*

Grace
XOXO

What is inside? | My study bag

Hey peeps! I am going to show you what is in my college bag! All the essentials that kept me alive during classes *giggles*
Let's start off with my bag, it's nothing fancy, just a plain bag I got for only RM25. It had followed me to several countries. Unfortunately, it's malfunctioning so I took it to college instead... (in case it broke when I am on a vacation LOL)
This teddy was a souvenir my friend gave me during his trip to Korea. It's adorable so I decorated my bag with it.
First item I am going to show you is my important planner. I always used a planner until I have a smartphone, I kept everything inside until one fine day it was lost... So I have decided to return to the old-fashion way to keep track of my activities just in case anything bad happen to my electronics (I was relying on electronics too much).
Such cute patterns!
Next, my DIY pencil case. I even sew a hook at the sides so I can hook my matching mini coin bag!
Also, I had chained my lipgloss... I never use it but it looks cute hanging there.
I love my pencil case and the fabric ain't cheap... but it turns out really cute! Even my lecturer complimented it (without knowing I made it myself *giggles*) SO here's the inside of this pencil case. I have a lot of colour pens and highlighters so that I can keep my notes colourful and less boring.
TA-DA! Here is the mini matching coin purse I was talking about. It can be hooked to the side of my pencil case. Inside, I put some coins (when I am lazy to put them in my purse) and a lavender essential oil. The oil is to keep me from stressing out from working on assignments.
Moreover, I have a scarf to keep myself warm during classes cause some classrooms felt like freezers...
I brought this from my trip to China. The pattern resembles "Flowers of happiness" and for Chinese in China, they thought this pattern looks prestige. Unfortunately, my friends in Malaysia teased me and said it looks like a aunty-sort-of fashion ~(=w=~).
Furthermore, this is an umbrella (you don't say)
This was a gift from my friends during my birthday...
There was a long story behind it but I will just skip it to reduce any extra amount of boredom.
Look at these beautiful laces! Anyway, I needed this because I needed to walk a short distant outdoor to my college and it might rain...
From left there is my Doraemon earphones to give me silence and music when I needed them.
Lavender scented wet tissue and dry tissue (I am a huge fan of lavender scent)
Phone is my secondary physiological need now.
The pink Japanese doll printed thing is a mirror.
Mint to keep me awake in class.
and lastly, a lotion that contained SPF in case I need to go outdoors.

Oh! I forgot my purse LOL

So I guess that is it! I just felt like sharing with you all what I am using in my daily life. It's fun to blog about something personal once in a while.

Hope y'all like it! bye!

U.Mi eyeshadow in godness (pink) review

Recently I felt in love with natural make up ever since my boy can't differentiate my real lashes and false lashes... I like it when he thought I was wearing false lashes when I am not (LOL) hahaha!

Hence, eyeshadow plays an important role when it comes to eye makeup and the current trend is natural colours. Basically close to nude colours but I am not a huge fan of way-too-nude colours... I mean what is the point of wearing make up when everyone can't tell the difference?

So I was finding for a sheer and natural colour that does not looks too obvious and too natural.. (What the... ~(=w=~)

It was a hard journey... *wind blows* but I found it!!
Introducing *drum hits*
(no edits and lack of creativity after being zombified by assignments X_X)
Name: Godness
Brand: U.Mi
Ingredients: Mica, carmine, titanium dioxide
nett weight: 2.35g
Origin: made in U.S.A
( I love the name hahaha!)
As usual, let's start from the appearance. It's unattractive, plain and simple. I prefer a princess-looking packaging...
This is how it looks like when you opened it. There are 3 holes inside but I didn't tear the plastic out is not the powder might over-leaked. Instead, I poked a hole.
The texture of the powder is smooth and the powder might fly all over your face when you accidentally scooped too much powder onto a brush. (feels like pixie dust LOL)
Even the brush can sense whether or not you took too much powder, so a little goes a long way.

Unlike other conventional eyeshadows, it is in loose powder form.

Pros:

  • 0% harmful substances since making a baked eyeshadow required chemicals.

Cons:
  • Inconvenient if you wanna travel cause it might fly all over the place when you open it.

It felt like as if the powder have anti-gravity power... I tried turning the lid but the it still won't fall down... (and yes, it stays on my eyelids strongly too)
Colour wise, it looks amazing. From far it looks like shimmer of pink and slight sliver. If you looked closely you can see a mixture of pink/gold/ violet (the violet does not appear most of the time hahaha) it felt like scooping stars that appeared during twilight and put them on your eyelids without being too pigmented.
(I am pretty sure you can't see what I have described... sorry my camera is not that good)
It can lasts for 6 hours without sweating or oil (in a air-conditioned room)

The price is RM88. Why so expensive?
because it's 100% mineral makeup, so even the most sensitive skin can apply them. #truestory

Here is a short clip of the eyeshadow.
Yes, I was sponsored for this post.
Even so, whatever I have written is based on my sincere point of view.

Hope it helps!
tata!

Daiso eyebrow pencil review

Most of the time, I get really excited when I found some inexpensive and good quality products in the market. Let me introduce you to my favorite eyebrow pencil of all time!
Brand: Daiso
Name: I don't understand cause it's written in Japanese
Origin: Made in Korea

There are 2 shades available, one is dark brown the other is light brown. I brought the dark brown colour one. Did I mention how much I hated sharpening? Thumbs up to those roll-out pencils!
As you roll it out, you will find the tip of the pencil (unlike other brow pencil) it's not cylinder shaped but it's triangle shape! I love the angle of the pencil, it can catch my brow shape easier than other cylinder shaped pencils.
There is a brush intact in the other end of the pencil. Which makes it convenient, especially when I need to take it to vacations or even for a touch-up!

Also, I didn't expect much from a RM5 brow pencil so it's kind of hard to glide on your skin. A little rough but still usable.
From right to left: one stroke, 2 strokes and 3 strokes.
It gives a natural feeling cause it's not as pigmented as some other brow pencils. I like my brow pencils sheer cause I might make mistakes when I am drawing my brows *laughs* I don't want to end like looking like Shin chan... yikes...

I have never did touch-up for my brows when I uses this precious pencil! It stayed on my skin for the entire day! But... If you sweat, it might fade a little if you uses tissue to dap it. It's not waterproof of smudgeproof so it's easy to remove.
As for the price, RM 5 for a product like this is awesome! No complaints at all! *laughs*

Well, I guess that is it! Hope it helps!

ps: I am using this brow pencil not only in this picture but in almost all make up I did LOL
I love it a lot!
